‘The Freakball’

David Ferreira took us into the circus with his Autumn/Winter 17 collection. After finding inspiration in freak shows and sideshows he started creating an unusual and eye-catching collection. The show stopping pieces was shown in colours such as shades of pinks, blues, turquoise and yellow. In his unique design he used materials of silk, satins, Mongolian lamb, woven metal fabric and plenty of tulle.

The models walked down slowly dancing their way around the catwalk in sky-high painted wooden shoes from Finsk, painted hair and circus inspired make up. The Freakball’ collection want to celebrate individuality and daring to be different.

David Ferreira is a Lisbon-based womenswear label that stands out with its combination of traditional, unique and modern design. The designer has previously worked for designers such as Giles Deacon Kirchhoff and Iris Van Herpen before he decided to launch his own brand.
