I can think of a million reasons one should admire and respect Pam Hogg. But if we were to discuss her talent as a fashion designer, then her ability to combine flamboyant fabrics with a punk attitude would be the one that distinguishes her from the rest.
This season the legendary designer presented her ‘Army of Lovers’, dressed in shiny jumpsuits, luscious rubber coats styled mainly in monochrome fabrics with with splashes of red, yellow and green. Who wouldn’t want to be the girl who is doing her grocery shopping wearing just a bright yellow PVC coat with a head full of rollers?
Pam never follows seasonal trends or fashion guidelines. Her designs celebrate a nostalgia for the past combined with a utopian vision for the future. This vision is also translated to her choice of models and put into multiple forms: the confident, the naughty, the exhibitionist, the sexy.
Thank you Pam for yet another beautiful and fun show!
