The Canadian born, British designer Edeline Lee showed off her new Spring/Summer 18 collection in a beautiful presentation that gave you the feel of a minimal luxury living room. The SS18 collection builds on the designers previous work – exploring what it means to be a woman and how to dress this woman, “In this collection, I wanted to connect to the vulnerability and the strength at the core of every woman” Lee states. The collection plays with the twisting of knots and ties that are complimenting the dresses, sweatshirts, and t-shirts. Elegant, feminine dresses and two-pieces were styled with belts in Azure Blue coloured buckles and buttons to give that feminine look. The colour palette was an era of beige, white, blush, black, blue and golden brown. The designer had also played with different dress-shapes and details reflecting a strong and powerful woman.
Edeline Lee has received a lot of support and attention from the women of the art world and this year she is the winner of the British Fashion Council Fashion Trust Grant and a finalist for the Mercedes Benz Etoiles in Paris. All of her pieces are created by hand in England, with fabrics woven in France and Italy.
