Rews are Shauna Tohill and Collette Williams. And quite frankly, they’re swiftly becoming a new favourite. Together, they are creating a genuine buzz on the UK/Irish music scene and split their time between London and Belfast. High energy. Alternative. Female. Cool, right?

Recently signed to Marshall Records, their debut album ‘Pyro’ will be released on November 3rd ahead of a UK tour. Rews are ready to bring their unique sound to stages around the world. Their aim is to inspire people to be who they are. Dance. Sing. Have fun. But address those deep issues that people face in every day life. It might just be your medicine…

The album’s sound is raw and burgeoning with infectious choruses and deadly distorted riffs. Soaring vocals and placed with bewitching harmonies and thunderous drums; the latter of which draws influence from the likes of [Dave] Grohl and [John] Bonham. Their latest single ‘Your Tears’ is a raw anthem with thunderous drums seething through an infectious chorus into a deadly breakdown. “‘Your Tears’ paints a broad colourful brushstroke of our Rews sound and style!” said lead singer/guitarist, Shauna Tohill. “It is dynamic, high energy rock, rhythmic and laced with pop sensibilities that allow people to get involved and sing and dance along. We LOVE playing this one live!”

Drummer Collette Williams continued to say, “’Your Tears’ is the adrenaline driven, musical rendition of the boy who cried Wolf”.

Inspired by life events from the dramatic to the mundane, ‘Pyro’ covers heartbreak to shady characters and breakfast cereals. Speaking out about the base for their music, Shauna Tohill said, “I find myself incredibly inspired by experiences, whether they are things I’ve been through or by observing and listening to what other people go through. I want to use our music as my voice and to speak honestly into the world and people’s situations. I feel music really has the ability to do that (and it has done for me!)”.

Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, ‘Pyro’ boasts a dynamic energy from start to end. It’s a testament to the duo’s unstoppable drive, belief and passion as they continue to cement themselves as one of the most relentlessly hardworking and exciting new acts to emerge this year.
