Last month Carl Garsbo, known professionally as Kasbo, shared his new track, ‘Bleed It Out’; the track also features Nea, who is best known for writing the hit song, ‘Lush Life’ for Zara Larsson. Kasbo has been hailed as an artist who has the innate ability to combine the cinematically bright with the hauntingly beautiful. They’re not wrong.

2015 marked the start of a breakout two years for Kasbo. The release of his own productions, a debut EP, ‘Umbrella Club’, and single ‘World Away’ – combined with a string of well received remixes for the likes of Vance Joy, Big Gigantic and Mutemath have seen him rack up over 50 million streams in that time alone.

Speaking of the track he said, “This song is mainly inspired by my backpacking trip through China and Vietnam. Travelling to places that have a completely different culture and way of life gave me a very uneasy feeling. But it was also very intriguing, and going there with your friends it was just a whole mess of emotions. Familiarity, clashing with fear in a complete foreign environment. There are so many new impressions during such a short time, things going on everywhere, a lot of the places we visited were extremely chaotic while at the same time very alluring. It was something that, at first, stemmed some kind of anxiety within me. But it was something I grew to love, it was kind of a beautiful chaos.”
