FØNX has always been a deeply independent artist, and he’s just released his latest single, ‘Don’t Feel Like Lovin”. Jazzy guitar lines meet upbeat electronica to create an infectious hook and a hugely danceable tune. While a soft and intimate bridge overflowing with soulful vocals hints at the more touching aspect of this ode to anti-love.
Following his last release, ‘Can’t Get Enough’, this is the latest track that FØNX has produced with Grammy award winner Tommaso Colliva. It showcases his distinctive blend of electronic beats with R&B, soul and jazz influences.
FØNX first picked up a guitar at the age of seven and draws his influence from the likes of John Mayer, Pharrell Williams, D’Angelo, Childish Gambino and Tom Misch.
He later moved into experimenting with lyric writing and samples and after graduating from Brit School. He continued honing his skills writing and producing music wherever he was able and playing the live circuit around London and the South East as well as festivals such as Barn on The Farm, Cornbury Festival, Isle Of Wight Festival and Leefest. Largely self-taught, his work does nestle between R&B and pop, hip-hop and electronic. But it is distinctively his own.
