In the wake of Kara Marni’s debut single “Golden” late last year, we spoke to the artist about her influences and journey so far. While you can read that interview here, we thought you’d like to know that she has returned with her sensational new single “Curve”.

This is a track that is both soulful and evocative, taking us beyond its modern-R’n’B sound. The accompanying visual further cements this modern vibe with a vintage flare, as Kara performs, dances and seduces the camera, with a gritty and old-school film filtering across the whole piece. Sparkles and glamorous styling further propel the song into the true anthem it is.

Growing up, Kara found inspiration in the likes of Minnie Ripperton, Roberta Flack, Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill and more.  Introducing herself to her own creativity, she eventually found her way in the studio with MNEK, Sebastian Kole (Alessia Kara), and Invisible Men.

At the age of just 19 years old, Kara Marni is set to make her mark on the world and since her debut release, she has brought us a new level of glamour. With a vintage-feel, and filmed solely on Super 8 camera, the visual sees Kara performing to the viewer, proving herself as a superstar in the making; a vintage and classic flair to her R’n’B and soulful vocals.
