Last month we visited 93 Feet East for the launch of Paradise Alley, the brand new new alfresco garden in the heart of Shoreditch. Complete with cocktail bars, a prosecco van, food, live DJ sets, Paradise Alley is the ultimate summer hangout.
Bringing a slice of paradise alley to Noctis, is their resident DJ Tim Ross of house duo Dirty Laundry. We invited Tim to create a disco infused, summer lovin’ playlist to jump start party season and he did not disappoint…
“I chose these tracks because they were either tracks I have already played at Paradise Alley and got an amazing response, or tracks that I feel like would fit the vibe of the party.
When I play I always read the crowd and would like to think of myself as DJ in the literal sense, someone who collects music across the board and is able to adapt to any situation. To me there are only 2 genres, good music & bad music – this is also why I’m honored to have been asked to be a resident at this excellent, exciting event because I am given free reign musically and so far the energy has been electric, and mine plus all the other DJs sets so far have been welcomed for their diverse nature. The future is looking very fruitful.
In regards to my inspiration, it changes every week but I guess my style comes from my 21 years experience collecting music and taking risks, mixing things that wouldn’t normally go together. Everything from jazz, funk, soul & disco to house, techno, drum & bass & hip hop.
I would also like to thank my Mum for playing me such great records whilst growing up, I had a good foundation to start with.”
