Fashion September 19, 2018

Anissa Aida opened fashion week for me and I wasn’t disappointed.

Anissa moved to New York to study Fashion Design at Parsons. Being raised in Tunisa and also Paris, Anissa was inspired by the places she grew up, also Tunisian and Japanese cultures and that’s how she created the looks for SS19.  The name “Aida”  is part of the brand to remember Anissa’s older sister who sadly passed away. Anissa did an exchange program at Central Saint Martins in London, since than she has been extremely recognised within the fashion industry because her exchange programme collection was nominated for the Hugo Boss Senior collection Prize in January 2015.

In this seasons’ looks Anissa explored different fabrics.  This season the collection featured a lot of different blue tones and straw textures. She also used asymmetric lines and clean cuts to create these looks for her SS19 season.

One of my favourite pieces from the show was this blue culotte jumpsuit.  The jumpsuit looked sophisticated but also very comfortable and the model carried it very well.

Another piece I really liked was this one. The straw hat made this look, it added that extra touch to the outfit. It matched the top and trousers. Also all the models had silver make up, from eyeshadow to lipstick.

Anissa previous collection was titled ‘Interfaces’ and it was selected by Fashion Scout as the “Ones to Watch”. Anissa Aida has also been sponsored by Fashion Scout for SS17 and AW17 runways.
