E.Tautz | AW19

by Adam Chi Lung Chan

Fashion January 8, 2019

After showcased two seasons of presentations, E.Tautz brings back made in the U.K. quality to the runway. The collection’s pieces are 80% made in their own factory in Lancashire and scarves were all hand knitted at the Corgi factory in Wales.

Part of the collection was inspired by Tautz’s trip to Brazil last year. Jungle colours of dark green, raddle red, light sand and river blue are a common theme. Graphic choice was inspired by São Paulo’s Ibirapuera Garden. Aside from Brazilian inspirations, we also see Arabic inspired elements. The loose, relaxed fit Shalwar trousers took inspiration from the traditional silhouette of Morocco.

In this season, E.Tautz teams up with french luxury footwear brand Christian Louboutin again, the eye-catching ballet style flat slip on shoes were inspired by an 80s pop music video, shoes thatto walk perfectly anywhere from the street to the park, in São Paulo or urban Morocco.

In short the collection takes us from Brazilian jungle to São Paulo urban park, then a visit to Morocco, travelling is not only for fun, it’s a formula to get inspired by the local culture, nature, history and tradition, maybe we should go to get inspired. Shall we?
