Womenswear designer Isabel Manns offers a unique take on luxury reversible clothing; she plays on the idea of “two outfits for the price of one”, creating pieces with both a block colour and printed side in classic wearable silhouettes.
The brand has a strong focus on sustainability, and Manns works closely with seamstresses to minimise fabric waste. SS20 was inspired by the iconic style of the 60s in Britain, with a feminine aesthetic; we saw a fresh colour palette of coral and turquoise, with hints of lilac and sky blue in natural materials. Manns gave us graceful silhouettes in a bold blue boatneck maxi, and an impeccable cut and classically styled a-line frock.
Using vibrant tonal prints inspired by the designer’s own artwork, we saw bright florals and abstract painterly strokes on a capsule collection of summery tea dresses, jumpsuits with plunging necklines in luminous silk, and bright and breezy floral co-ords.
